About the role

LUSH manufaktura d.o.o. is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to independently manage daily accounting and bookkeeping operations, oversee financial reporting and budgeting, and ensure tax compliance. The role is based in Sveta Nedelja and offers mentorship and continuous training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including posting and controlling entries.
• Reconcile accounting records and verify the trial balance.
• Manage material inventory, production costing, and generate stock‑tracking reports.
• Monitor current accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (GFI POD, PD) and cash‑flow reports.
• Produce internal management reports and participate in budget preparation.
• Collaborate with auditors and management teams.
• Handle additional accounting duties as required.

Required profile

• Completed secondary or higher education in economics or finance.
• Minimum five years of experience in the listed accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Proactive, responsible, detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a team.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (preferred, not mandatory).
• Familiarity with Odoo ERP (preferred, not mandatory).
• Proficient use of MS Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Advanced English communication skills.
