Finance Accountant (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Accountant to join our Zagreb office and support the Finance department in meeting Herbalife standards and local statutory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with the regional finance team and provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in international accounting practices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Finance department complies with Herbalife standards and Sarbanes‑Oxley Act requirements.
• Liaise with the regional finance team on country‑specific financial questions.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and EMEA management reports.
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and social security.
• Reconcile balance sheets and inter‑company accounts on a monthly basis.
• Respond promptly to corporate and local information requests.
• Perform administrative activities essential to the Finance department and report any incidents to the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Progress towards a financial diploma or degree.
• Good knowledge of local corporate and income taxes and local GAAP.
• Experience in an international company, preferably with a US parent, is advantageous.
• Professional communication skills with financial institutions, members, and local staff.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to organizational changes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with PC‑based accounting systems.
