Engineering Manager (Single Phase UPS)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for an Engineering Manager for its Single-Phase UPS business in Zagreb. The manager leads the lead engineers and individual contributors and owns the success of design and development projects for Single-Phase UPS products, supporting Vertiv's global Lines of Business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, plan and execute design projects for Single-Phase UPS products
• Define projects, negotiate priorities and schedule tasks
• Report progress to senior leadership on behalf of a team of Electrical, Software, Mechanical and Test Engineers
• Manage a high-performing technical team

Required profile

• Technical team management experience
• 10+ years of product development or support for electrical products
• Strong knowledge of the full product design cycle and engineering disciplines
• Ability to organise and schedule team activities
• Fluent English and strong people skills, including motivation and conflict resolution
• Willingness to work in cross-functional Global Development Teams and some international travel (about 10%)

Required skills

• Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and AC power
• Experience with UPS systems and systems engineering
• Understanding of printed circuit board design and development
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Oracle, Agile, CREO and Mentor Graphics
