DSP Firmware Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a DSP Firmware Engineer to join its Single Phase UPS team in Zagreb. You will help ensure that products meet high design, development and production quality, and will drive the development and implementation of code for embedded devices and power converters. You will take part in the full software development cycle, from initial specifications and architecture design to testing and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Software development and implementation, delivering C/C++ code for embedded real-time computing systems
• Design of software architecture and DSP algorithms for power converters based on GaN, SiC and Si technologies
• Definition and realization of complex technological and innovative projects
• Maintenance of existing products, including diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Collaboration with hardware and test engineers on implementation and testing of new devices
• Code optimization, design reviews and revision control and documentation (Git)
• Ensuring software quality and performance, creating test specifications and performing software testing, examination and validation
• Mentoring junior colleagues within the team

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, computer science or computer engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of experience
• Experience developing UPS and power converters is preferred
• Good mathematical foundation
• English at minimum B2 level

Required skills

• Strong C/C++ programming and software design and maintainability
• Knowledge of Code Composer Studio
• Control theory and digital signal processing
• Vivado is an advantage; FPGA algorithm design experience is an advantage
• Integration, problem solving and debugging skills
