About the role

The Branch Director leads the Zagreb office of Zagrebačka banka, shaping strategy, ensuring profitability, and representing the bank in the local market. This senior position requires overseeing daily operations, driving client portfolio growth, and fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor branch strategy, managing balance sheet and profitability.
• Organise daily branch activities and ensure service quality.
• Develop the client portfolio and acquire new customers.
• Collaborate with product, process and channel teams.
• Represent the bank in the local market and promote its brand.
• Lead retention campaigns and commercial initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Promote a motivating organisational climate and culture.
• Coordinate, advise and direct staff, managing performance and career development.

Required profile

• University degree (preferably higher education).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with clients.
• Strong accuracy, reliability and organisational skills.
• Ability to take responsibility, make independent decisions and assess risks.
• Team‑oriented mindset with open communication.
• Positive attitude, proactive and flexible.
• Capability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
