Accounting Manager (m/f) – Zagreb

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and diligent Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function in Zagreb, Croatia. You will oversee all ledger activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across our regional finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Croatian GAAP, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Lead and optimise monthly and annual closing processes for Croatian subsidiaries and coordinate with teams in Szeged, Budapest and Denver.
• Manage tax compliance, VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate annual financial statement preparation and external audits.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to government authorities.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and variance analyses to support business planning.
• Support IFRS and US GAAP consolidation and financial analysis activities.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organisation‑wide financial compliance.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal and Operations on ERP implementation projects.
• Lead, develop and manage the finance team and external accounting providers.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of Croatian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Strategic leader with structured thinking and ability to work independently.
