System Engineer (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Engineer to join our IT team in Buzin, Zagreb. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our Microsoft‑centric infrastructure, ensuring reliable access and security for both internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Active Directory, including user/group management, GPO, DNS and access control.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise applications.
• Maintain Exchange (on‑premises and cloud) – mailbox management, hybrid configuration, migrations and mail flow troubleshooting.
• Provide L2 support for software, hardware and system‑access issues.
• Support external users with login, authentication and permission problems.
• Handle incidents and service requests via the ITSM ticketing system.
• Administer Microsoft 365 – licenses, permissions, policies and migrations (mailbox, archive, OneDrive).
• Assist with Forti VPN implementation and manage VPN access groups.
• Oversee domain‑level MFA activation and user enrollment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar system‑administration role.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with Exchange Server (on‑premises and hybrid) and Forti VPN.
• Familiarity with MFA deployment, ITSM processes and ticketing tools.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
