Senior Infrastructure Engineer (m/f)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure stability, security, and high availability of all systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire IT infrastructure and supporting systems.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms.
• Define and monitor SLAs with data centers, cloud providers, and system‑administration contractors.
• Plan, design, and execute infrastructure projects.
• Develop, test, and maintain replication, backup, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Coordinate third‑party data access in partnership with Information Security.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software incidents to improve stability and performance.
• Optimize existing systems for better efficiency.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Information Security teams.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation meeting audit standards.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to boost operational efficiency.
• Participate in budget planning and vendor selection.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing distributed IT infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization.
• Proven track record working with data centers and cloud providers, including SLA negotiation.
• Strong understanding of database replication, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software.
• Good knowledge of core networking protocols (DNS, HTTP(S), TCP/IP, TLS, SSH).
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Effective vendor and partner management abilities.
