About the role

Erste Group Card Processor is looking for a motivated Junior Card IT Systems Specialist to join its Zagreb team. You will work with cutting‑edge payment technologies, supporting the testing and maintenance of Mastercard, VISA, ATM and POS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise yourself with Mastercard and VISA test tools and operate ATM and POS terminals.
• Plan, organise and continuously execute testing activities, analysing and documenting results.
• Develop, improve and maintain functional and regression test scenarios and scripts.
• Optimise testing processes and tool usage.
• Provide application support for Front‑Office authorisation systems.
• Analyse user business requirements and produce functional and technical specifications.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new features for the Front‑Office authorisation platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in card, IT and communications domains.

Required profile

• Completed VSS or VŠS in Electrical Engineering, Natural‑Science‑Mathematics or Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Independent, responsible and proactive work attitude.
• Willingness to learn and pursue continuous professional development.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Experience with Mastercard and VISA testing tools.
• Hands‑on knowledge of ATM and POS terminals.
• Programming in at least one language (C, Perl, Java, Python).
• Working with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
