About the role

We are looking for an organized and meticulous accountant to join our team in Zagreb. The successful candidate will be responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing and a range of accounting duties, ensuring compliance with Croatian legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Independently calculate monthly payroll and related allowances such as travel expenses, sick leave, and vacation.
• Prepare and submit the JOPPD form and other statutory payroll reports.
• Monitor and apply legal regulations in labor law, tax and social contributions.
• Communicate with tax authorities, banks and other institutions regarding payroll matters.
• Calculate VAT and record business transactions.
• Perform additional accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Higher education (SSS/VŠS) in economics.
• At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing and accounting.
• Good knowledge of Croatian accounting standards, tax legislation and labor law.
