About the role

The company INOVACIJE I RAZVOJ seeks a proactive EU Projects and Innovation Manager to lead the identification, preparation, execution, and reporting of EU‑funded projects. The role combines strategic project development with hands‑on management of budgets and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Identify relevant EU and national funding calls and assess financing opportunities.
• Develop project concepts aligned with company and client strategies.
• Prepare complete project documentation, including applications, feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and financial calculations.
• Coordinate with partners, stakeholders, and institutions throughout project lifecycle.
• Manage projects from initiation to closure, monitoring progress and ensuring contractual compliance.
• Oversee project budgets and optimize use of allocated funds.
• Produce financial and descriptive reports for donors and authorities.
• Stay updated on legal regulations, guidelines, and developments related to EU funds and innovation policies.
• Participate in research and implementation of new innovative solutions for the company and its clients.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on EU project and innovation matters.

Required profile

• Higher education, preferably in economics, social sciences, engineering or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in preparing and/or implementing EU projects.
• Strong knowledge of EU Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) and other EU programmes.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities and excellent organizational skills.
• Independent, result‑oriented and proactive work attitude.
• Fluent written and spoken communication in Croatian and English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
