About the role

We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our design and engineering department in Zagreb. You will be responsible for creating technical concepts and turning them into feasible solutions for wastewater and waste treatment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical concepts and detailed designs for wastewater and waste treatment systems.
• Design mechanical systems, equipment and assemblies.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models, and perform detailed mechanical design.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, cost estimates and equipment lists.
• Dimension and select mechanical and process equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers and engineers from other disciplines.
• Prepare production, assembly and commissioning documentation.
• Participate in the development, optimization and testing of new technical solutions and prototypes.
• Monitor performance of implemented solutions and propose improvements.
• Support installation, commissioning and testing activities.
• Analyse technical problems and develop corrective and optimisation measures.
• Coordinate technical activities throughout project development and execution.
• Independently lead assigned project and development tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in design, construction, development or technical detailing of mechanical systems.
• Proven experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA or other 3D CAD software.
• Self‑reliant, responsible and systematic work approach.
• Analytical mindset for solving technical problems.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to develop new solutions.
• Readiness for occasional field work.
