About the role

We are looking for a diligent accountant/bookkeeper to join our finance team in Zagreb. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing ledgers, and supporting payroll and tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Post incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Record bank statements, cash registers, and travel orders.
• Maintain customer and supplier balance accounts.
• Post to the general ledger and reconcile with analytical records.
• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with the Tax Administration.
• Calculate payroll and other earnings.
• Track fixed assets and compute depreciation.
• Communicate with clients, government agencies, and banks.
• Analyze and control postings before final account preparation.
• Produce statistical and year‑end reports under the supervision of the accounting manager.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reports.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Independent, proactive and problem‑solving attitude.
• Strong knowledge of finance‑related legislation.

Required skills

• Excellent command of MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software (4DWand is a plus).

• Permanent contract with a statutory probation period (3‑6 months).
• Gross salary of €2,106 per month (approximately €1,435 net without tax relief).
• Additional €150 monthly transport and meal allowance.
