Technical Sales Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Support Engineer to act as the bridge between our customers and internal teams. The role combines technical assistance, product documentation, and project coordination to help Tier‑One automotive customers adopt Yazaki solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical inquiries, propose existing products and new developments.
• Create and maintain product datasheets, overviews and technical databases.
• Serve as the technical interface for customers, aligning specifications with internal departments and design engineers.
• Support Technical‑Commercial Account Managers in defining concepts, preparing drawings and manuals.
• Identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities, analyse market trends and cross‑selling potential.
• Manage marketing tools such as samples and data sheets, and provide product training to new employees.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in engineering, product or project management, or technical sales, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
• Basic knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding and stamping technology.
• Familiarity with SAP (advantage).
• Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA V5 or SolidWorks (advantage).
