About the role

Join KentBank's Treasury and Financial Institution sector in Zagreb as a Trading Associate. You will be responsible for executing and managing trades across multiple asset classes, supporting the bank's presence in the European and emerging‑market bond markets.

Key responsibilities

• Trade EU, US and emerging‑market sovereign bonds as well as FX Spot, handling pricing, order execution and currency‑specific risk management.
• Develop and maintain proprietary pricing models and the associated infrastructure for fixed‑income (FI) and foreign‑exchange (FX) portfolios.
• Continuously improve pricing models, trading strategies and portfolio optimisation while ensuring disciplined risk limits.
• Monitor macro‑economic indicators, monetary and regulatory policy changes to identify short‑ and medium‑term trading opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with market participants to strengthen KentBank’s market presence.
• Contribute to the strategic development of new products and markets, provide market analysis to senior management, and mentor junior team members where applicable.

Required profile

• University degree in economics or a related field.
• Strong desire to trade bonds (FI), FX, or equities.
• Preferably pursuing or holding CFA, ACI or a HANFA investment‑advisor licence.
• Ability to make high‑quality decisions under pressure with a solid business and market instinct.
