About the role

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for all Infinum employees, ensuring accurate calculation, statutory reporting and timely payment. This role collaborates closely with HR, finance and external institutions to maintain compliance with Croatian labor and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate monthly payroll for all staff, prepare and submit JOPPD forms, and generate payment orders.
• Post payroll entries to the general ledger and perform annual ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate tax reconciliations with the Tax Administration.
• Issue withholding statements for employee deductions (fiscalization 1.0).
• Process contracts for work and other taxable income.
• Prepare accruals for unused vacation days for corporate tax reporting.
• Maintain employee database and ensure timely communication of HR changes.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions and related topics.
• Monitor legislative updates in payroll and accounting.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, HR) and external bodies (HZMO, HZZO, HZZ).
• Support auditors and prepare internal and external reports.

Required profile

• Higher education (SSS/VŠS/VSS) in economics or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in payroll or related accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Croatian labor law and tax regulations.
• Excellent written and spoken Croatian and English.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
