Risk Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join the Risk Management department of Raiffeisen Pension Insurance Company in Zagreb. The role involves identifying, measuring and monitoring market and operational risks, and contributing to the development of robust risk‑management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, measure and monitor market and operational risks, including portfolio risk calculations, stress‑testing and risk attribution.
• Track asset‑liability alignment, calculate performance indicators for technical reserve management, and assess issuer creditworthiness.
• Control transactions, cash flows, portfolios and asset valuation, maintaining records of operational‑risk indicators and capital‑market data.
• Apply fair‑value valuation techniques for financial instruments when active market conditions are absent.
• Participate in the design and implementation of risk‑management procedures, measures and techniques.
• Prepare risk‑related sections of financial statements and reports for regulators, the Board and other external parties.
• Execute additional risk‑management tasks as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• University degree (300 ECTS) in economics, natural‑science‑mathematics or a technical field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in risk management or a related finance role.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Bloomberg Terminal (preferred).
• Knowledge of quantitative methods (preferred).
• Familiarity with fair‑value valuation techniques.
