Konstruktor (m/ž)

About the role

Altpro d.o.o. is looking for a motivated Konstruktor to join its team in Zagreb. You will be involved in the full development cycle of advanced mechanical products, especially for hydrogen‑based railway energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, dimensioning and modelling of new mechanical products, assemblies and structures.
• Integrate equipment and subsystems into complex products, container modules and vehicles.
• Perform basic static and dynamic structural calculations.
• Participate in the design of cooling, ventilation, hydrogen and other fluid systems.
• Define technical requirements, select components and prepare specifications for suppliers.
• Create and maintain 3D models, workshop and assembly drawings, bill of materials and installation documents.
• Develop assembly guidelines and support prototype, functional model and pilot‑run production.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing and commissioning.
• Monitor product performance in real conditions and contribute to optimisation and further development.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical product design or system integration.
• Proven ability to work independently and organise tasks by priority.
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Team‑oriented, proactive and responsible attitude.

Required skills

• SolidWorks 3D CAD (independent use).
• 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
• Experience with PDM systems and document revision control.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
