Academic Advisor – Student Support

About the role

The Academic Advisor supports students at RIT Croatia by guiding them through course selection, enrollment, and academic planning. You will help students set goals, monitor progress, and connect them with campus resources to ensure successful degree completion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic advising on course selection, enrollment procedures, and study plans.
• Assist students in setting academic goals and developing personalized study strategies.
• Track academic progress and intervene with additional support when needed.
• Explain degree requirements, graduation criteria, and institutional policies.
• Link students to appropriate support services and campus resources.
• Participate in orientation events, workshops, and informational sessions for students and parents.
• Maintain accurate records of advising activities using student information systems.
• Prepare and publish class and final‑exam schedules.
• Process student requests and academic forms.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Completed undergraduate or graduate degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in administrative roles.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with students or clients.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership.

Required skills

• Advanced computer proficiency and experience with business or information systems.
