PCB Librarian and Component Engineer

About the role

Orqa is looking for a PCB Librarian and Component Engineer to maintain the integrity of its electronic design library. You will work closely with electrical engineers to create and manage component symbols, footprints, and 3D models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical engineers to customize schematic symbols.
• Review manufacturers' datasheets for component requirements and lifecycle information.
• Create and maintain schematic symbols in Altium following standard guidelines.
• Design PCB footprints in accordance with IPC standards.
• Participate in the review and release process for symbols and footprints.
• Generate 3D models and align them with 2D footprints.

Required profile

• Experience with PCB CAD tools and library management.
• Familiarity with IPC standards for footprint creation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical datasheets.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced development environment.
